Think about the edge of deep space. Got it? Now go further. Good. Now - in your mind go out even farther. Go so far out that what may or may not be space seems like a foggy memory of dream.

Out there is where you’ll find a smallish planet inhabited by a smallish alien species known as the Beutari. The Beutari have a rodent like appearance are are really good at two things. Capturing any stray robots that come close to their planet and repurposing them to harvest pahnhoi - the mucus of the giant space slugs. The space slugs are known as Gondohai .

The mucus from the slugs has a variety of uses - some even think it may be the root of life itself. The Beutari use a concentrated form of the mucus within bio-chips to hack and over-ride foreign A.I. they encounter.

Some say the entity know as The Wanderer was once a typical robot, but some how became infected with the pahnhoi and gained not only sentience, up omniscience.
